Mission Statement: ADT Truth & Support Alliance
The ADT Truth & Support Alliance exists to ensure that no man faces Androgen Deprivation Therapy alone, uninformed, or unheard. Our mission is to create a safe, honest, and compassionate community where men can share their experiences, access clear information, and receive the emotional support they deserve throughout every stage of ADT.
We believe that informed consent is a right, not a formality. Too many men begin ADT without being told the full scope of its physical, emotional, cognitive, and relational impact. We aim to change that by fostering open dialogue, amplifying lived experiences, and advocating for transparency in prostate cancer care.
Our purpose is threefold:
• Support — to provide a confidential space where men can speak honestly about the challenges of ADT, including identity changes, emotional strain, relationship impacts, and the long road of recovery.
• Educate — to share clear, accessible information about ADT’s real world effects, helping men and their families prepare for the journey ahead.
• Advocate — to push for greater transparency, better communication, and more humane care from clinicians, ensuring that every patient receives the full truth before making life altering decisions.
We are not anti-medicine. We are pro-truth, pro-patient, and committed to elevating the voices of men whose experiences have been minimized or ignored. Our goal is to bring honesty, dignity, and humanity back into the conversation around ADT — and to make sure no man ever feels invisible in his own treatment.
Together, we stand for transparency, compassion, and the courage to speak openly about what ADT truly means for the men who live through it.
